PRECAST CONCRETE SOLUTIONS
Prefbeton – the Organization of Precast Concrete Producers in Romania – organized on September 21st 2017 the first edition of the International Conference “Precast Concrete Solutions” in Bucharest.
MAIN TOPICS:
- use of precast concrete elements – experiences from Romania, Japan and around the world;
- trends in the prefabricated industry, examples of applications for precast concrete, the trends that support the precast concrete industry – equipment and materials that allow higher performances of the prefabricated in general and, especially, in areas with high seismicity, such as Romania.
Among the speakers of the conference we had important names from Romania, Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Japan: dr. Wim Jansze (Consolis), Dr. Matthias Gay (MC Bauchemie), Asao „Juan” Sakuda (Splice Sleeve Japan), Mădălina Teodorescu (BASF România), Cristian Chiriazi, (Arcadia Engineering), Gianluca Todeschini (Nordimpianti System), dipl. ing. Balint Karoly Robert (Plan 31 România), drd. ing. Ciprian Popa (Nemetschek România), Susanne Schachinger (Precast) and Kalteziotis Demosthenis (Sidenor). The conference ended with a unique perspective on the future – brought by Oona Strathern, futurologist at the Zukunftsinstitut Vienna, who argues that prefabrication is the key to modular, flexible and fast urban residential development.
OBJECTIVES
Through this event, Prefbeton intends to bring together the main partners in the construction industry – manufacturers of precast concrete, structural designers, architects, professors and students of the universities of the university, general contractors, real estate developers, suppliers of equipment and materials for construction industry etc.

We wanted to mobilize the partners in the construction industry to support the market of precast concrete elements, which exceeded 1.5 million cubic meters in 2016 and is expanding, in recognition of the major advantages of precast concrete, including quality control and erection speed, continuous production throughout the year, versatility. In addition, prefabricated concrete structures are economical, with fixed price and well-defined delivery time – crucial parameters for real estate developers.
